CEILS Teaching Table for STEM Classrooms
CEILS Teaching Table for STEM Classrooms
Fridays 12:30 – 2pm (Dates below) – Terasaki Life Sciences Building 1100
Join us for a monthly conversation with a community of educators dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and unbounded curiosity! Light facilitation by CEILS facilitators will support discussion on topics related to teaching STEM courses at UCLA: equitable assessment of student learning, navigating challenging classroom dynamics, enhancing student motivation and curiosity, and more. Each meeting will start-off with a selected topic and then open-up for general discussion of any current questions/teaching challenges that attendees would like to discuss and exchange ideas.
Whether you’re a seasoned professor or you’ve just started your teaching journey, you’ll find a treasure trove of ideas and strategies to explore in your own classroom. Invited guests from campus units supporting student well-being will be invited to select sessions to help foster UCLA-wide community and collaboration.
Instructors across the Life and Physical Sciences are invited to participate. Those who attend a minimum of 4 of the 6 sessions will receive a certificate of completion for their dossier.
We are working to build an ongoing community and all instructors that teach a STEM course at UCLA are welcome to join. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Jess Gregg at jessgregg@ceils.ucla.edu to receive additional information about joining upcoming meetings.
